BEARFACE is known for breaking barriers, ushering in a new and innovative way to produce a revered Canadian spirit. Their flagship entry, BEARFACE 7 year Triple Oak, is the result of endless innovation and experimentation. Using ex-bourbon, ex-Bordeaux and virgin Hungarian oak barrels along with an aging process that’s twice as long as the average Canadian whisky, BEARFACE 7 year Triple Oak has become an award-winning whisky nine times over after only a year on shelves.

But one ground-breaking whisky isn’t nearly enough. Keen to push boundaries and pioneer the next generation of Canadian whisky, BEARFACE Master Blender Andres Faustinelli went back to the drawing board for this latest release. The BEARFACE team took advantage of a little-known whisky-making regulation called the 9.09 per cent or One Eleven Whisky Rule, where up to one part of another spirit can be added to ten parts Canadian whisky.

Instead of hiding behind this rule, BEARFACE is flaunting it by developing their brand new ONE ELEVEN series. The first release combines BEARFACE 7 year Triple Oak with pit-roasted mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, distilled by maestro mezcalero Pedro Hernandez. The result is a complex whisky with floral aromas and notes of dried fruit matched with an earthy, smoky finish.

BEARFACE One Eleven Series Oaxaca Release is a world-first and a product of curiosity, fearlessness and collaboration between industry greats. Whether you drink it straight to enjoy its unique complexity or mix it into your favourite whisky cocktail, one thing’s for sure – BEARFACE is for those who seek out the most interesting experiences in life.
