Frigid weather has us pushing aside crisp lagers and radlers for fuller-bodied brews we can sink our teeth into.

Stouts are a great example of this, attaining their characteristic deep hue from heavily roasted malts. Kensington Brewing Co.’s latest stout, Temper Temper, uses cacao nibs (roasted at neighbouring restaurant Trinity Common) to add a nice dark chocolate aroma.

Temper Temper is smooth and easy-drinking with a creamy head. The chocolate flavours aren’t overpowering or super sweet. Instead, they add a nice subtle character that makes this beer a good pairing with desserts.
