Chapman's has been making ice cream and frozen treats since 1973 when David and Penny Chapman moved into the rooms above the old creamery in Markdale, Ontario and launched the family business. However, their artisanal products, made with 100 per cent Canadian dairy, and natural flavours and colours, have created a lot of buzz since the release of its Super Premium Plus ice cream line two years ago.
The luxury collection made from high-quality ingredients received three prestigious international awards from the International Ice Cream Consortium conference in 2024. In addition to winning Best Caramel Ice Cream for Salty Caramel Crunch, they gained a Silver in the Best Ice Cream category for Cherry Cheesecake, and Bronze in the Most Innovative Ice Cream category for Cold Brew Coffee.
The Super Premium Plus range — available in flavours like Cookie Jar and Vanilla Trilogy — is also the first allergy-friendly luxury ice cream in the world. Chapman's makes the ice cream in a peanut and nut-free facility, and the collection is peanut-, nut- and egg-free, meaning all ice cream lovers can dig in without worry.
