Join the discussion with Canada's leading voices at The Walrus Live 2018

The Walrus Magazine celebrates its fifteenth year with a special event that brings together two days of writers, journalists, scientists and other notable speakers.

We’ve long been fans of The Walrus, the Canadian magazine that’s been bringing us high quality long-form articles, fiction and poetry from some of the country’s best and brightest since 2003. But we’re craving their unique brand of fact-based journalism now more than ever.

As the rest of the world shifts towards click-bait, The Walrus has stayed committed to providing thought-provoking original content in print and online that’s intrinsically Canadian. Heck, even the magazine’s title was conceived to disassociate Canada with the log-chomping earnestness of the nation’s animal, the beaver, in favour of a more “curmudgeonly but clever” walrus.

To celebrate 15 years of award-winning journalism, The Walrus is hosting a marquee gathering focusing on The Future of Everything. The Walrus Live 2018 will bring readers up close and personal with an incredible roster of speakers across a wide range of subjects including food and drink, culture, technology and more.

The lineup is impressive, with household names like Margaret Atwood, former Globe and Mail restaurant critic Chris Nuttall-Smith and restaurateur Suzanne Barr, alongside policy makers, business leaders and global citizens, all of whom will be discussing the future of Canada.

And, since the future is just as much ours to define, The Walrus LIVE’s additional programming will give guests an opportunity to be a part of the conversation and interact with these leaders in their fields, with hands-on workshops and in-depth panels. Would you expect anything less of The Walrus?

All access passes are $399 and include access to all sessions, food, drink, a special edition of The Walrus Talks, a 15th anniversary party, and parking for both days. Purchase tickets and check out the full schedule here.
