As bona fide foodies, we love exploring the summer circuit of food festivals and getting our gastronomic fix. But when we're busy tucking into the most exciting and boundary-pushing new restaurants in the city, it's easy to forget that plenty of people don't have enough to eat in our communities.

Second Harvest is Canada's largest food rescue charity with a dual mission of environmental protection and hunger relief. Second Harvest recovers nutritious, unsold food before it becomes waste and distributes it to a broad network of 373 social service organizations.

Second Harvest’s annual fundraising event, Toronto Taste, will bring Toronto's top restaurants and amazing beverage purveyors together on Sunday, June 9th! Toronto's premier food talent will light up the newly renovated Evergreen Brick Works, and for one night only, the venue will be transformed into a vintage circus with aerialists, acrobats, fire-eaters and fortune-tellers.

A curated roster of 50 chefs and restaurants will serve up their tastiest creations, including Patrick Kriss (Aloette), Rob Gentile (Buca), Ivana Raca (Ufficio) and Brandon Olsen (La Banane). Plus, Toronto Taste will feature indulgent silent, live and fine wine auctions and a Chopped-style cooking challenge with chefs Romaine Avril and Ivana Raca battling it out on the main stage for gourmet glory.

For every ticket purchased for Toronto Taste, Second Harvest can provide 500 healthy meals to people in need. Get your tickets here
