The world is changing and so is food. At RC Show, industry leaders and innovators come together to be inspired, learn from the best and play hard.
If you daydream about leaving corporate life to cater, salivate over the latest kitchen gadgets or simply love to eat and drink, RC Show is where you can explore your passion. Here are five must-see highlights from this year’s show program.
Beyond the Plate
Curated by chef Charlotte Langley, experience six pop-up container restaurants featuring Canada’s top culinary talent. From sustainable seafood by Scout Canning and the Marine Stewardship Council to sweet and boozy indulgences by ChocoSol, The Rolling Pin, Station Cold Brew and Kahlúa, RC Show and the Toronto Container Company demonstrate how to “think inside the box” and take your big idea beyond traditional restaurant walls.
Future of Food and Eating
Presented by the Canadian Space Agency and Canada Agricultural Food Museum, Space to Spoon is an interactive exhibit showcasing how satellite technology is shaping the way we cultivate and consume food. Dr. Irwin Adam (Museum of Ice Cream NYC), along with a panel of food futurists, will share insights on the evolution of the dining experience.
Get Mentored
Whether you’re looking to start a food blog, publish a cookbook or launch a new business, get expert advice and learn about local programs designed to turn your dreams into reality at the RC Mentor Series.
Culinary, Cocktail and Coffee Competitions
Watch Canada’s fiercest bartenders, baristas and chefs go head-to-head in a series of industry competitions. Cheer on hometown favourites like chef Dustin Gallagher (416 Snack Bar, Peoples Eatery), Hayden Johnston (Richmond Station), Elia Herrera (Los Colibris) and more as they sharpen their knives and throw down their signature dishes.
Network and Play Hard
What better way to meet likeminded foodies than over cocktails and canapés? Join us at our Opening Night Reception (complimentary for all show attendees) and the RC Show After-Party for boozing, schmoozing, nibbling and dancing.
