Touted as the largest poutine eating competition in the world (and the world's second largest professional eating competition), Smoke’s Poutinerie World Poutine Eating Championship is coming to Toronto for a one day event. For The Friends of We Care Charity Eat-Off Challenge portion of the event, contestants are required to raise a minimum of $5,000 in pledges from friends and family for a chance to compete for the title of world poutine eating champion. For those not competing, the event will also feature free poutine from Smoke’s along with a chill zone where you can (...ahem) chill out on a dry ice rendition of a living room.

This unique charity event hosted at the George Brown Culinary School will feature special three-course meals prepared by some of Toronto's best chefs. Each chef will be stationed at a specific table, giving you the opportunity to watch them in action as they cook up an intimate meal for you and the other seven diners at your table. It'll be a surprise which chef's table you'll end up at for the evening, but with Caglar Araz from Anatolia, Carl Heinrich from Richmond Station and Melanie Christou from Get Skewered among the participating chefs, you can certainly count on enjoying a memorable meal in support of Action Against Hunger. Stick around after dinner for a nightcap party with unlimited food and drinks.
