Red Bull, the energy drink giant best known for its caffeinated canned beverages, has launched a new line of refreshing sodas. But delicious as they look, these drinks won't give you "wings".

ORGANICS by Red Bull is a new premium range of organic, carbonated drinks made with natural flavours from plant extracts. The retro-looking cans come in four flavours – Simply Cola, Bitter Lemon, Ginger Ale and Tonic Water – all of which are free from artificial flavours, colours, ingredients and preservatives.

It might be hard to shake the association with Red Bull's cans of liquid energy popular among students, the chronically tired and those who add it as a mixer to give them a boost – but their new organic line is hoping to keep customers "grounded" instead. While it wouldn't be fair to call these drinks a healthy option (each individual can has 22 mg of sugar and between 90 and 100 calories), they're touting it as a healthier alternative when you're craving a soft drink.

Only Simply Cola is caffeinated, naturally derived from coffee beans and flavours from plant extracts. At 32 mg, it has the same amount of caffeine as a can of Coca-Cola, but it tastes less sweet than its counterpart, with hints of cinnamon and liquorice. Another favourite is the zesty Ginger Ale, which is delicious to sip solo – though we suspect it would be perfect for a Moscow Mule, too.

ORGANICS by Red Bull will be available in major grocery and convenience stores across Canada as of June 4. The drinks will be sold in 4-packs of the same flavour, retailing from $9.99-10.99, but gas stations will be rolling out the option to mix and match the flavours in the near future.
