Summer is the season to get out and stand out. Whether that's by wearing bold colours, sprucing up your patio or opening a bottle of something special for the table. Enter, Fazi Battaglia. Its Titulus Classico is a fresh, slightly spritzy white that will turn heads at your next dinner party or brighten any weeknight meal.

From its distinctive amphora shape to the tiny scroll still hand-rolled and tied to the top of each curved bottle, Fazi Battaglia is sure to make a statement. After all, the Italian winery's been making history for over 70 years.

Created in 1949, the iconic Fazi Battaglia winery has established itself as a leader in Italian wine. Back then, they started small, but had the big, bold idea of pursuing the production of just one grape variety: the verdicchio. This rare grape comes from Italy’s Marche region and is known for producing dry whites with amazing structure. Fazi Battaglia's multiple vineyards have a variety of soils, altitudes and exposures, which allow for different expressions of one of Italy's most unique native grape varieties.

Today, Fazi Battaglia is still family-run, with the fourth generation at the helm producing high quality wines among the picturesque Castelli di Jesi hills. The grapes are hand-picked and the wine is aged for four months on fine lees (yeast cells that have a silkier consistency) for an easy drinking crispness that pairs well with sweaty summer days — and seafood, creamy pastas and deliciously soft cheese.

On the nose, Titulus is fresh with yummy notes of apple and pear. On the palate, you'll get rich, tangy and mineral flavours with a pleasant almond finish. And, like the best kind of dinner guests, it goes along with any occasion.
