Sophisticated palates and top-notch taste buds are great when you’re dining out and enjoying the best of Toronto’s food scene. It does have one considerable downside though — there’s no getting past us with a sub-par snack. Luckily, there are seasoned caterers out there to make exceptional cuisine that befits our food snobbery at any event.
TOBEN Hospitality Group has been making some of our favourite food at weddings, events and private functions for the last 17 years. Sibling duo chef Toben and Elana Kochman founded TOBEN Food By Design in 2005 and have been making globally inspired cuisine ever since. TOBEN has been breaking the status quo in the catering industry and giving back to the community, with ongoing relationships with SickKids, North York General Hospital, Campfire Circle and more.
The forward-thinking company has continued to evolve. With several strings to its bow, TOBEN has you covered, whatever you're in the mood for — from upscale event spaces to chef-inspired meals from the comfort of your home.

Food Trucks
The food truck craze is going nowhere, and TOBEN wanted an elegant take on casual fare. Enter: TOBEN Food Truck, which brought stylish street food to the mix in 2016. It's available to rent for events, and can be customized to suit any needs.

Toben at Home
During the pandemic, TOBEN noticed that gourmands were still keen to experience top-quality service, while sequestered in their abodes. So, they launched TOBEN at Home, offering delivery and pick-up of tasty chef-cooked, family meals.

Catering
If you need food, TOBEN's got your back. Because every event and client need is different, they encompass everything from corporate breakfasts to food stations and passed hors d'oeuvres.

Events
In its 17-year run, TOBEN has catered for 2,000 weddings and cooked for the crème de la crème. From brands and organizations like Porsche and SickKids Hospital to celebs including Eugene Levy and LeBron James, they've served the best of the bunch.
In 2019, TOBEN opened Grace: a 2,400 square-foot event venue located at 150 Symes Road, just north of the Junction. Brick walls and natural light make this rentable space a dream for those looking to hire for bigger events or more tailored hosting in the Tasting Lounge.
Being stuck inside didn't stop us from wanting restaurant-quality eats at home — and it certainly didn't stop TOBEN from innovating. Since it's launch two years ago during the pandemic, TOBEN at Home has serviced more than 20,000 orders. The popularity of handcrafted and seasonal chef-made family style meals — conveniently delivered or available for pick-up — shows no signs of waning.
TOBEN isn't done yet. Stay tuned for The Pearl, arriving in 2023. The Hamptons-inspired gourmet market will offer pantry provisions, to-go food, signature cocktails, plus rentable venue space on Lake Muskoka.
