Following the success of our foodism 40 celebration in 2023, we introduced the inaugural foodism ICON Awards this November. The annual award ceremony recognizes the most innovative and impactful individuals in the local hospitality industry, across 10 categories.

On the evening of November 12th, at the brand new Waterworks Food Hall, we raised a glass and recognized the 2024 ICONS as we announced them live in front of an esteemed room of guests and industry experts. Each award winner received a beautiful Kilne knife to commemorate their accomplishment.

We sipped on Ramsbury Gin in all its forms, from Dragon's Knees, a sour with dragon fruit juice, to a Rosemary Maple Espresso Martini and bespoke martinis with multiple types of olives available to customize each drink. G.H. Mumm kept things classy with pours of their signature Grand Cordon Brut Champagne.

Deanston Distillery served the Terra Fizz, the award-winning cocktail featuring Deanston Virgin Oak that bartender Ryan San Diego created for the 2024 Cut From A Different Tartan initiative. There were also tasty tipples from Heineken, Stoneleigh Wine, Cutwater canned cocktails, and cider from Drink ON Apples for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.

Plus, The Food Dudes were on hand for party sustenance, with a delectable cheeseboard for guests to graze on, and dishes like kalbi short ribs and grilled maitake mushrooms.

All of our guests had a fabulous time and went home with a gift bag stuffed with goodies from our partners like Barocco Coffee and OpenTable, but one attendee was extra lucky and won a trip for two to beautiful St. Kitts.
