Last week, we hosted a group of lucky Foodism readers for a patio party with chef Mark McEwan’s at his gorgeous downtown Bymark restaurant. We enjoyed expertly-prepared dishes from Chef McEwan’s exclusive menu paired with Stoneleigh wines and, of course, great company.

We toasted the kick-off of the event with glasses of Stoneleigh Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc served with canapes like harissa steak tartare and steamed shrimp dumplings. For our first course, pan seared scallops with corn and chanterelle risotto and passion fruit beurre blanc were a lovely complement to the tropical fruit flavours of the easy drinking Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc. The rich Stoneleigh Pinot Noir paired beautifully with a second course of five spiced duck breast with baby beets, carrots, onion eyes, housemade plum sauce and grapes.

Thanks to Stoneleigh for keeping the delicious wine flowing and to Chef McEwan and the team at Bymark for a memorable meal. Cheers to summer!
