Sister to Casa Loma's lauded BlueBlood Steakhouse, one of the city's best steakhouses, Blue Bovine Steak + Sushi House had big shoes to fill when it opened in early 2024 with backing from Kevin O'Leary and the Toronto Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner.

It was one of our most anticipated new Toronto restaurants of the year, and is undoubtedly one of the best downtown Toronto restaurants. Liberty Entertainment Group's newest jewel cranks the luxury to the max: The enormous, 16,000-square-foot space in Union Station has been transformed into a lavish eatery dishing fine surf and turf with some of the most premium ingredients you'll find in the city.

Past the striking, 1,500-lbs bronze bull sculpture at the entrance, the open, opulent space features booths cloaked in soft leather; a 4,000-bottle, glass-walled wine cellar; and sleek modern design touches.

Blue Bovine is one of three restaurants in Toronto certified as a Kobe beef purveyor, though a filet mignon cut will set you back an eye-popping $250. Chef Sean Blomeley's (BlueBlood Steakhouse) menu is stacked with other impressive cuts, too, like Nebraska striploin, Kansas rib-eye and 28-day-aged American prime. For those not looking to ball out, there are several excellent Canadian cuts, too.

Chef Yi–Joo Na sees that fresh catches are flown in from Japan daily for his à la carte sushi, and omakase menu. Sit at the sushi bar to watch Na and his staff expertly prepare elegant nigiri and sashimi with unmatched precision. Another surf option, and a steakhouse classic, the seafood tower arrives on your table loaded with king crab, lobster, jumbo prawns, oysters and salmon crudo.

We're giving one lucky winner a $300 gift card, redeemable in February or March, to experience a meal at Blue Bovine. Experience a truly lights-out meal — just remember to share some gratuity with the restaurant when dinner is over.
