It's every new company's dream scenario. You release your product, only for huge demand to see it sell out just days later all across the city. But for those of us who were desperate to get our hands on a bottle of Aguamiel tequila, it was a source of misery.
Luckily for tequila fans, Aguamiel, which was originally released on June 25, has now been restocked and is readily available at the LCBO.
The Canadian premium tequila is clear in colour with a complex but delicate nose. The bright agave flavour introduces a light to medium-bodied palate with hints of black pepper and vanilla bean, and even subtler hints of lemongrass with a peppery, crisp and warm finish. In other words, don't waste this tequila doing shots – Aguamiel was made for sipping.
Aguamiel is crafted by tequillier, Agustin Sanchez Rodriguez, and made with 100% Blue Agave Tequilana Weber handpicked from both the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico (check out our article on the tequila renaissance hereif you need a little refresher on the difference between bar-rail and craft tequila).
For a limited time, Aguamiel Tequila will be hosting complimentary exclusive in-home micro-tastings for parties of ten people. Sign up online for their Free Spirit Tasting Series and they'll provide a host to elevate your experience with curated music playlists and unique recipes to match.
$59.95 at the LCBO.
