Every year, Creemore Springs Brewery puts on one heck of a party in the charming town of Creemore, Ontario, near the Niagara Escarpment and a short drive from Collingwood or Barrie. If you're hoping to squeeze in one last late-summer road trip, this is your chance.

A proudly plastic-free event, the Copper Kettle Festival will bring the area's vibrant community together for a day jam-packed with fun activities and entertainment. On August 24, the party will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. — and did we mention admission is totally free?

First up, an awesome roster of live music has been scheduled for the day. The 99s, Cuff the Duke, Great Lake Swimmers and Miniscule will all be performing, and the energy will be high. Things get even more exciting with the classic (pre-1987) car show — residents pull up to show off their fanciest retro wheels!

You'll also be able browse to your heart's content at the farmers' market or makers' market. Make sure you grab some goodies to enjoy later. Then, tour Creemore Springs, the craft brewery that calls the town home, and try their lineup of brews in the Beer Garden.

Even without the Copper Kettle Festival, Creemore is an amazing place for a day trip, about two hours from Toronto. The people are friendly and welcoming, and you'll never get enough of its small-town charm.
