Add to calendarIf you can't get to sandy beaches and blue waters this summer, Taste the Caribbean Food Festival, at 1609 Eglinton Avenue West near Oakwood Avenue, is the next best thing. Returning from July 22–23, the two-day Caribbean extravaganza will bring together more than 40 food, drink and marketplace vendors.
Fan-favourite food truck, Island Grill GTA has got you covered on the carb front with drool-worthy jerk poutines, while Ti Kay La Foods will be bringing their St. Lucian fish cakes and jerk pork belly back to the festival this year. Once your bellies are filled, enjoy live DJ sets, reggae artists and tassa performers, and the sounds of the steelpan. The event is rain or shine, so bring an umbrella, your appetite and your party spirit.
