Festive Feasting

Starbucks Christmas Blend is back for the holidays

A beloved part of the holidays at Starbucks since 1984, Starbucks Christmas Blend isn't just a beacon of the holidays — it's a celebration of quality, craftsmanship and innovation.

Holiday traditions are a big part of making the season special. Whether it's that one dish grandma always makes, exchanging gifts with loved ones or the perfect cup of coffee brewed with a festive brunch, our little rituals bring magic into the holiday season.

Starbucks knows how to deliver on the holiday spirit with its annual tradition of holiday cups, a festive menu of beverages and food and, of course, the beloved Starbucks Christmas Blend that's been brightening the season every year since 1984.

As the first official Starbucks holiday beverage, Starbucks Christmas Blend comes from lively Latin American beans and mellow Indonesian coffees. The finishing touch is a beautiful hint of spice from carefully aged beans grown on the island of Sumatra.

Every year, the Starbucks coffee team samples the brew to see how it's progressing, until it reaches the optimal flavour. When the deep notes of cedar and sweet baking spices shine in this quality coffee, it's ready to fill your cup with holiday cheer.

When it was first released, the innovative Christmas Blend changed the course of Starbucks history forever. In 1984, Starbucks only sold their freshly roasted beans to brew at home. The brand became a coffee house in 1987, brewing the Christmas Blend in stores for the first time and embarking on a new chapter that would lead Starbucks to become the iconic coffee shop it is now. Starbucks holiday offerings and traditions continued to evolve with the introduction of holiday cups to signal the season, and in 2002, Peppermint Mocha made its first debut.

Starbucks Christmas Blend, with its festive flavours of spiced chocolate and cedar tips, still remains a fan favourite. Pair the elegant Starbucks Christmas Blend with the cozy and classic tastes of the season, from rich meals to decadent desserts. At Starbucks stores, pair this coffee blend with the Gingerbread Loaf, a deliciously baked take on the classic, full of hearty ginger-spice flavours, or the Cranberry Bliss® Bar, a blondie cake with dried cranberries, topped with cream-cheese icing, flecks of orange zest and a sprinkling of more dried cranberries.

At home, enjoy the Starbucks Christmas Blend as-is or part of a festive twist on a café au lait. With its warm, spiced notes, this holiday-inspired drink is sure to become a festive favourite!
