Ever felt like you can't decide between a cuppa or a pint? Luckily for us, a new collaboration means that we can have the best of both worlds.
While there are a handful of stouts on the market that do a decent job of mashing up beer with coffee, we're yet to find a combination of tea and hops – until now. Two of our favourite Canadian purveyors have joined forces to bring a tea-infused beer to give you that comforting feeling the next time you want to crack open a can.
Beau's Beer, based in Vankleek Hill, Ont., has brewed a London Fog beer with David's Tea Organic Cream of Earl Grey tea blend, adding rich vanilla, as well as milk and sugar flavours, for a creamy taste. The popular black tea blend, with its citrusy flash of bergamot, works perfectly in a beer, replacing the froth of a vanilla tea latte with the light foam on your pint.
In addition to the tea-like, vanilla characteristics of London Fog, we picked up on some chocolate notes and a nice round finish. Get this transitional tipple while you can – this limited-release beer is available while stocks last and will not be brewed again.
