When Russia invaded Ukraine, Zirkova Vodka jumped in to help immediately, donating 100 per cent of its profits until the end of April. Now, the Canadian-Ukrainian vodka is channelling their grief into a creative collaboration in the hope of continuing the conversation and sharing Ukraine's story.
Together with Ukrainian creators and makers, Zirkova has launched their first Canadian-made vodka, Zirkova Unity Vodka. This is a vodka made with heritage, pride and a unified force to salvage the profound craft of Ukrainian vodka making.
After halting the production of their premium, Ukrainian-made vodkas — Zirkova One and Zirkova Together — Zirkova has found a way to carry on and persevere with Zirkova Unity.
Their master distiller, who was based at their distillery in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine (a.k.a, the birthplace of vodka), has recently come to Canada to preserve Ukrainian Vodka traditions.
Handcrafted with Canada’s best wheat from the heart of the prairies, Zirkova Unity's grain is blended with natural water sourced deep within the Canadian Shield. It is here, on Canadian soil, where the best of both worlds combine — the legacy of Ukrainian craft vodka with Canadian ingredients — giving Zirkova Unity its smoothness, approachability and crisp clean finish.
Zirkova Unity comes in six unique bottles designed by artists from Ukraine and Canada. Each bottle shines with vibrant blues and spirited yellows, and tells a story of unity, hope, resilience and optimism. With every bottle of Zirkova Unity sold, a donation will be made to organizations supporting Ukraine and its people. Something that we think deserves one big "Budmo!" — the Ukrainian toast, meaning "just be."
