In Toronto, brunch hours are wildly flexible. It's not unusual to see the best brunch restaurants in Toronto packed well beyond 3 p.m., with diners wolfing down syrup-soaked waffles and omelettes in rebellious defiance of dinnertime's creeping approach. The city scoffs at the idea that pancakes are only for a.m. hours and rejects any restrictions on the appropriate time to savour bacon strips.

You can enjoy your favourite late-morning dishes any time of the day at this year's Brunch Fest. The jam-packed, two-day celebration of all things brunch is back at The Grounds at Hotel X from June 15 to 16. It's on from 10 a.m.–7 p.m., and it's all outdoors. With the exception of embarking on a full-blown restaurant crawl, this is the best way to experience the city's brunch scene.

This year, the festival is even bigger and better; the curated list of vendors is stacked with familiar faces, like Starving Artist, Heirloom and Grandma Loves You. You'll have 150 indulgent brunch staples to sample, which run the gamut from sweet to savoury to salty. There will also be fresh smoothie bowls and juice, plus plenty of options for our vegan pals.

One of the best parts of brunch is the drinks (we're looking at you, bottomless mimosas). Sip the day away at the full-service bar, with handcrafted specialty cocktails, including custom caesars. Plus, you can pick the perfect topping at the pickled garnish bar.
