Muskoka Brewery's Moonlight Kettle project might just be the coolest workplace bonding activity we've ever heard of. Here's the premise: once a month, under a full moon, a few employees from across the company's various teams gather to make their dream beer a reality. (Obviously, each group includes at least one brewer who knows how all the technical stuff works.)
Our favourite Moonlight Kettle release (so far) is called Cool as a Cuke, and it's pretty much the perfect beer for spring. It's an American pale ale—or APA, to those in the know—infused with lemongrass and cucumber for an extra hit of refreshment. It's a little bitter, a tad citrusy and just a tiny bit malty. In other words, all the things you look for in a good cottage beer. As for food pairings, the fine folks at Muskoka point out that it goes equally well with fried food and fresh fish, so you really can't go wrong.
