From the very first time we tasted chef Nuit Regular's authentic Thai cuisine at Pai, we fell in love with the downtown restaurant. Since then, Pai has expanded to a sprawling second location in Midtown, where even more Torontonians can get their hands on some of the best Thai food in the city

On Saturday April 13, there's even more reason to visit the beautiful Yonge and Eglinton location, where colourful flags, lanterns and a mural decorate the space. Pai Uptown will be hosting the pop-up Songkran Market to celebrate Thai New Year.

Spend the afternoon eating your way through food stalls serving chef Regular's favourite Songkran specialties, which you won't find on the regular menu at Pai. Tuck into dishes like Khao Kha Moo (braised pork hock on rice), Khao Mun Gai (Thai-style chicken rice), Moo Ping (grilled pork skewer) and Som Tum (green papaya salad). Pai will also be open for lunch during the market.

Once you've had your fill of delicious Thai food, shop through the local market vendors selling handmade and curated goods. Find vintage clothing, vinyl records, candles, tote bags, crystals, plants, personal care products and more.

Then, relax with a traditional Thai massage. To get a fresh start on the year, wash away past misfortunes with the traditional Songkran water blessing ritual that symbolizes purification.

Songkran Market is free to attend on Saturday April 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
