A carefully curated tasting menu is a glimpse into a chef's mind; it's a chance for them to tell you a story via the food on your plate. For this upcoming dinner series, though, you won't just be experiencing the culinary creativity of one renowned chef, but two. It's a meal you'll want to schedule your whole month around.

This April, chefs Arnaud Bloquel and Stéphane Modat are teaming up for a two-night tasting menu, dubbed "La Collab." At Restaurant Lucie in Toronto's Financial District, and Restaurant Le Clan in Québec City, Bloquel and Modat will serve a six-course culinary tour de force you won't ever forget. The meal promises to be a modern, playful marriage of French and Québecois cuisine set in an elegant, luxurious atmosphere.

Each chef will create three unique dishes that celebrate and unite French and French-Canadian cuisine. There will also be the opportunity to savour a sommelier-curated wine pairing that's been thoughtfully developed to amplify each course. Whether you're a passionate foodie or someone who won't ever turn down a fantastic meal, you won't want to miss this.

Between these two chefs, the talent on display will be immense. Bloquel was born in France and grew up in the Caribbean. He's been awarded Best Master Restaurateur in France, and his restaurant was voted Best in the Caribbean by the Gault et Millau guide. Bloquel has been at the helm of Restaurant Lucie since it opened in 2023. Modat, formerly on the culinary team at Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, trained in three Michelin-starred restaurants before opening his place in Québec's Old Town.

The first dinner in the series takes place at Toronto's Restaurant Lucie on April 16, and the second on April 23 at Restaurant Le Clan in Québec City. Tickets are $400 per person in Toronto, and $150 per person in Québec City. Both meals start at 5:30 p.m.
