Seasoned BBQ enthusiasts are probably already familiar with Weber and its popular Genesis series of grills. The brand has given this well-liked line a makeover with the release of Genesis II, a collection of grills ranging in size from a compact two-burner model to a massive six-burner grill that could easily cook up enough to feed a block party.
All the grills feature a handy electronic push-button start and porcelain-enameled, cast-iron cooking grates. The burners’ tapered shape creates balanced gas flow from front to back, providing even heat distribution to the cooking grates. Flavourizer bars catch drips and vapourize them back up to the food for enhanced smoky, fresh-off-the-grill taste. The amusingly-named Grease Management System funnels away any additional drippage to a removable drip tray, making for both fewer flare-ups and no-fuss clean-up.
The grills also have a more streamlined look compared to their predecessors and are compatible with Weber’s iGrill 3 Bluetooth temperature monitoring system (although the system itself is sold separately), an app that lets you know when your food has reached ideal serving temperature.
