Since we can confidently say that everybody is up to *here* right now (points to a very high spot above our head), it's a rare, forgotten treat to be able to deliver good news – so we're thrilled to bring something positive to your feed.
To assist those most vulnerable to COVID-19 – and to avoid the panic-buying chaos that has gripped Toronto and the world – Pusateri's is introducing a dedicated hour inside each of its locations only for the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.
Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., all store locations will provide a quieter and less stressful shopping environment for those at a higher risk of infection to purchase their grocery essentials. And since purchasing toilet paper has become an adventure akin to scaling Mount Everest in recent days, the grocery store hopes that this measure will support all of its customers throughout this troubling time. While Pusateri's CF Toronto Eaton Centre location has closed, Sherway Gardens and three other store locations will remain open.
And they're not the only ones. Shopper's Drug Mart is setting an hour aside each day so that seniors can exclusively shop. The retailer has encouraged customers to check with their local store to confirm opening hours.
1/2 Starting this week, Shoppers Drug Mart is dedicating the first opening hour of shopping at our stores to our customers who need assistance or consideration, including seniors and people living with disabilities.

Shopper's Drug Mart reiterated that there is not a supply chain issue and that there is no need to hoard grocery items. They will also be providing a discount of 20% to seniors during this hour, in addition to Senior's Days every Thursday. Well played, friends, well played.
